Morrisseau At The Wick Inn

Never-before-seen photo shows Norval Morrisseau having dinner with Gabe Vadas at the top-rated Canadian hotel, Wickaninnish Inn on beautiful Chesterman Beach in Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island, BC (Fall 2004). "Norval was delighted watching the ocean," said Vadas. Photograph © Roberts Studios Inc, 2004. Click on image to enlarge.

  1. Interesting reference indeed: upwardly pointing triangle symbolizes fire and male power; the state of being three; the Holy Trinity. God is said to be a unity of three: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

  2. The bond between Norval and Gabe was simply beautiful. Those who don't know a thing about it live on fantasy They were family. It sure made a lot of people jealous. Norval was the one who assigned Gabe his role. Period!

  3. Thank you for your insight Mark. And let's not forget Michele Vadas. Part of the reason that Norval returned to BC from Thunder Bay back in '02--in under 30 days--simply was because he wouldn't take his meds from anyone other than Michele. She was an absolute angel in her role as caregiver--and Norval recognized it.
